As the owner–operator of the business Claire is directly involved with every client on a daily basis. A regular visitor to each property (in the UK) or on Facetime or Skype (for the overseas hotels), she can be found in the sales office pitching her venues to her clients, hosting corporate clients in and around the hotels, entertaining journalists in the restaurant and getting the inside scoop from the chefs at the pass. When she is not with clients, she is on the road presenting to travel agents, corporate agents and clients and meeting journalists or travel editors.
Claire has built a wide portfolio of experience with five star hotels, Michelin star restaurants and leading wellness resorts since starting out in 1999. Her first clients were Sir Terence Conran and Nicolas Rettie when they collaborated on opening the Great Eastern Hotel in Liverpool Street; and Christian Delteil when he owned Bank Restaurant Group and opened Bank and later Zander at the St James’ Court Hotel (Taj Hotels).
Notable clients after this were Geoffrey Gelardi at The Lanesborough Hotel while it was a Rosewood Hotel and after it transitioned to a St. Regis hotel, and the privately owned residential development in Andalucia, Sotogrande where Claire would entertain UK editors on the Valderrama golf course and at the Santa Maria polo club.
Claire joined Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts in 2003 working in the Regional Sales Office in London, the Four Seasons on Park Lane and at Four Seasons Hampshire.
Seven years in Asia broadened Claire’s international perspective, travelling to Australia, Taiwan, Japan, China, Hong Kong, India, Kuwait, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Switzerland, France, and the US to represent Asia’s best wellness resorts Chiva-Som and Kamalaya. Growing brand awareness and revenue for these famous spa resorts enriched her experience and provided deep knowledge of this growing travel sector.
Back in London, Claire spent a year with Andrew Stembridge and Sue Williams helping to re-establish Cliveden House as a luxury, gourmet destination once again before starting The Luxury Group.
A highly respected food photographer, John has provided spectacular photography for the Times newspaper group since leaving University and has built an impressive client list since going solo. John’s niche is in producing elegant and appealing food photography for Michelin-starred chefs around the world for their websites, books, interiors, exteriors and portraits. Clients include Rene Redzepi, Marcus Wareing, Antonio Carluccio, Angela Hartnett, Raymond Blanc, Fergus Henderson, Peter Gordon, Jason Atherton and many more.
An accomplished publicist with 20 years experience across marketing, publicity and communications, Jane supports the agency on all publishing projects, marketing and events. Much of Jane’s experience was gained in the book publishing industry (HarperCollins and Octopus Publishing) so she is an asset to the chefs and other personalities we represent. Jane freelanced for The Good Food Guide on the new editions so she is also an important asset for the chefs in the portfolio when raising their profiles.
A creative graphic designer with over 10 years experience on a range of projects, Andy has in-house, studio and client experience. He is a specialist in branding and publishing with a particular affinity for hospitality. He creates excellent marketing collateral, advertising designs and executions, packaging and product development, web design and print design. He supports clients where needed from designing enewsletters all the way through to brand identity.
An experienced and well travelled sales director, Renee has 25 years of sales experience in the luxury leisure, corporate and MICE sectors. Her diversified background includes in-house luxury hotel experience as well as international representation and global sales office. Renee has an enviable network of travel industry contacts in the UK, Europe and America. She brings a professional and bubbly personality to The Luxury Group clients requiring international sales.
