The Bingham appointed The Luxury Group in 2015 to re-focus the in-house sales and events team, and introduce new corporate clients to the hotel. The Bingham has always enjoyed a healthy corporate and wedding business but the department needed a new strategy alongside development of its talent to reach its full potential.
Claire worked closely with general manager Erick Kervaon and his sales team on a weekly basis to deliver the sales strategy to reach the revenue targets. Crucially, she developed the team through hands-on coaching methods and motivational teamwork to ensure that the positive attitude and sales results would continue into the future.
Claire and the Bingham team delivered 20% over budget for the sales and events department in 2016 and 15% over budget for 2017, amounting £360,000 in event sales in 2017. She also improved the team’s conversion rate to 45%.
Claire and her team continue to introduce new corporate clients to The Bingham and its sister wellbeing centre Bhuti also in Richmond, and support with corporate e-communications.
