Claire Leslie planned the launch of Cliveden’s new restaurant, Andre Garrett at Cliveden. The goal was to positively communicate the extensive redesign of the restaurant interior and promote the appointment of the previously-unknown new chef Andre Garrett (from Galvin at Windows) to the UK media, consumers and travel trade.
Identifying a need for specialist PR, Claire recommended the appointment of Maureen Mills to handle Andre’s launch to the food critics, to media train Andre and to provide close insight on how food critics arrange and review new restaurants. Running in parallel with this, Claire delivered new web presence for the restaurant, launch collateral, tactical promotions and direct mail campaigns to ensure the restaurant was busy from its first day of opening.
Results were impressive; revenue to the restaurant doubled year on year, media coverage was secured in over 85 consumer, travel and food titles, Twitter engagements exceeded 3,700 and Restaurant Andre Garrett received awards for the Best Desert at Taste of London and the World of Fine Wine’s Best Wine List.
